The Elephant Festival, one of the most popular events in Jaipur is celebrated on the month of March . During the Elephant Festival Gaily painted and covered in brightly coloured and gilded clothes, the Elephants of Jaipur parade through the streets run races, play polo and participate in Holi, the festival of colours.

      Since only female elephants participate in this festival, it is part of rituals to decorate and the elephants for the occasions .
