Where to go for a honeymoon? If that’s the question bothering you as you do not want to make any bad choice for something which definitely is the most important part of your life and something you would always want to hold fresh in your mind. Then I can suggest you one such place. Its Kerala, a state in southern India, a paradise of panoramic view, it is known as “God’s own country” and its just not a phrase to boast this place for tourism, it is the truth and anyone who visits this place agrees with it. It’s a coastal area of lush green vegetation that slopes down the Western Ghats to reach the Arabian Sea Kerala borders the states of Tamil Nadu to the east and Karnataka to the north and is the most literate state in India. Kerala is considered to be one of the safest regions of India and initiated Ecotourism. Tourists find this place one of the friendliest places in India, incidents of cheating the tourists by local people is almost negligible. Kerala is a place of religiosity and one can find Hindu Temples, Mosques, Churches and even synagogues. Natural beauty is at its best here, The National Geographic Traveler magazine named Kerala was named as one of the “ten paradises of the world” and “50 places of a lifetime”.

These are chains of interconnected water bodies like rivers, lakes and inlets , all separated from the sea by a narrow strip of sand banks and this is a stretch of almost 900 km. Serenity of backwaters can be enjoyed on large wooden canoes.

The Blue Mountains

Nilgiris

Blue Mountains (popularly known as Nilgiris) of Western Ghats , are close to Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala and now known as Thiruvanthapuram, there are numerous hill stations in this area. The most popular is Munnar, the honeymoon capital of the state. Anamudi (2,695 metres) is the highest peak of the Western Ghats, and is good for trekking. The area is also home to several sanctuaries and forest reserve areas. Waterfalls- More than two dozen waterfalls, both large and small, with numerous rapids and springs. The largest fallwaters are at Athirampally, where three milky waterfalls fall at great speed. Beaches- Kerala has 650 km of coastline and numerous beaches.
